Physical fitness refers to the ability of your body systems to work together
efficiently to allow you to be healthy and perform activities of daily living. Physical
Fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to
perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities Physical fitness is
generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical
exercise, and sufficient rest.

2. What are the components of Physical Fitness? 10 pts.

Physical fitness components include: cardiorespiratory endurance, body


composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.

3. What are the two categories of Physical Fitness? 2pts.

health related and skill related.

Health related; Health-related fitness (HRF) is theoretically defined as a


multidimensional construct containing the components cardiorespiratory
endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body
composition
Skill related; Skill related fitness consists of fitness components that are
important to success in skillful activities and athletic events, and may not be as
crucial to improved health. These components include agility, balance,
coordination, power, reaction time, and speed.
