The process of painting in metal is quite

similar in painting the walls/concrete and woods, it just needs more preparation before applying
a paint. What makes the metal much more energy to work with rather than other materials
because it is hard for paints to adhere to, but with proper preparation it is possible. One is needed
to clean and remove the rust in the metal 1st and using a sandpaper is a must, then the usage of
primer is necessary to clean it properly specially for rusts. Another factor to consider in painting
a metal is the place of work, make sure to work at a well-ventilated area because the paint and
rust particles are harmful to humans. When the preparations are over, painting the metal is now
possible just like how a wall/concrete or wood is being painted. There is also a different method
in finalizing the metal work, which are double coating the paint when it is dry and the
amplification of varnish to have a better result with the color and prolong the life of the paint.
In working and metal wok, always wear proper PPE, for it can save your life, clothes and
from danger. For this shop exercise glove is very needed for the hands is the most exposed part
for this exercise. Smoothen and clean the metal properly because it can affect the effectiveness of
the paint. In working with a rusted metal use zinc-chromate primer and then apply a regular
primer. Double coat the paint and apply a clear varnish to protect the color.
