P - pressure difference across the ventricular wall (Intraventricular pressure=afterload)

r - radius of the ventricle

h - ventricular wall thickness (2 x wall thickness)

 This law describe the factors that determine left ventricular wall stress, which is a
major determinant of myocardial oxygen demand.
 The wall tension of the ventricle is proportional to the oxygen demand of the
ventricle.
