TY Diary Week 7

Dear Diary
It’s the last week of Module one!!! Yay let’s see what happens in module 2
Monday morning, we had PE. Where our teacher wasn’t in so we had a substitute
teacher that took us outside and did some yoga with us. It was so cold thought, but
it was still relaxing first thing in the morning.
Next, we had Career guidance where we had a zoom call with a place called
Shoutout that does workshops for schools about the LGBTQ+ community. It was
interesting learning in detail about what each of the letters stand for.
After break we had English where we again had a substitute teacher and we went
and just sat in the outside classroom. I just read my book that brought in that day. It
was good.
Next, we had mathematics where we started to make our playground equipment
that we were researching about last week. Mines going great so far. I choose to
make climbing bars.
Our last class was double needlework we began finishing our embroidery pieces. I
finished mine and I am really proud of it. We took a lot of photos of our works
because everyone’s was very good.
Tuesday, we participated in a Macramé workshop where we had to make pot
hangers by knotting pieces of fabric together. I did a white one and it was hard at
first to get and then you got used to it. We did 3 different types of knots and each if
them were hard. But it turned out amazing in the end.
Next, we had Japanese where we talked about what we are going to do during the
Think Languages workshops and what roles we have. Our class choose the country
Japan and my group and I have to bring in Japanese food on the day of the
workshop which is in November. Its going to be so fun I can’t wait.
After Japanese we had Computer Studies where I started to train for the cert test
that I will do on Friday.
For the whole of Wednesday, I completed the wellness cycle for smile week and I
had such a fun time. I am just going to be really tired in the next few days but
that’s ok. We cycled 76 km! Wow!!!
Thursday morning, we had French where we split into groups and continued
translating our poem. We also started to work on our pronunciation of the poem
and it going well. Then on Friday’s French class I was in a different group where I
had to start researching French youtubers for the French noticeboard in the school.
I picked some comedy ones and we stated to work on the design as well.
Next, we had mathematics where we finished off making our playground
equipment and I am really proud of how mine turned out in the end.
After break we had yoga where we did more journaling but this time, we wrote it
on ourselves. We then went on a five-minute walk and then we came back and
finished the class off with some mindfulness. It was very relaxing.
Physics came after yoga and we began learning about circuits and electricity while
the people who didn’t present their projects last week, presented them today.
After lunch came Siamsa where we were supposed to the like a Microsoft forms
test just to see for ourselves how we progressed over the first module. But the form
wasn’t working very well so out teacher just said for us to give ourselves like a
predicted grade.
And lastly, we had our Refugee programme where our teacher brought in some
colours and we coloured in two hands holding each other. Then we cut them out
and put all the hands in a circle to show that we are all connected together. It
turned out really nice in the end.
Friday morning, we had Computer Studies where I completed the cert test. I passed
it. Yay. Now I will move on to learning on how to use word documents. Let’s see
how I do on that one.
Next, we had German where people recorded their scripts from last week. Me and
my partner already completed ours on Monday so she gave us a worksheet to done.
It was a relaxing.
After break we had English where we continued watching the movie Parasite, but I
didn’t watch it so instead I wrote another short story just for fun.
PE came after English and we had a subsite teacher that let us play a table tennis
completion. I won in the end and I got a small prize which was just a sweet.
Our last class was choir where for the end of smile week we did a zoom call with a
singer. He sang some great songs and then he told us about his school experience
on how he was bullied and how he delt with it. We finished the meeting by him
answering some questions.

Module one is over and I really enjoyed these 7 weeks. Let’s see what happens in
the next modules.
