Getti ng Bett er Applicants

1. My recommendation is that Jennifer calculate how much it costs her to hire and
train a new employee, as well as the cost of lost productivity while they become
used to the duties that their position requires. Any savings can be attributable to
a lower employee turnover rate. Exit interviews, which contain questions like
what would we have done to our work environment to make you more likely to
stay, may be the best source of improvement recommendations. Existing
workers should also be consulted on improvements they would want to see in the
workplace, such as an increase in staff numbers to lower work hours, or longer or
more frequent breaks. In some situations, job rotation may be a viable option,
albeit it is a more difficult one. They may provide employees the option of profit
sharing in order to keep them for the entire year.
Another solution is to hire qualified staff with related field experience so that we
don't need to spend a lot of time training these employees. Rehiring is also a
convenient option; this will benefit the company as the employees been hired
already have knowledge about the organizations culture and policies thus
reducing the time and cost of training. Providing favorable work environment,
understanding employees’ needs and motivating them towards organizational
goal is a must.

2. Advertisement on Media Channels:

 The traditional method is to place an advertisement in the local
newspaper. Job advertisements are a popular and effective means of
attracting candidates, with the added benefit of having a wider reach.
Rehiring:
 As previously said, if recruiting someone who has previously worked for
us is viable, the company would reap numerous benefits, including
decreased training expenses and employee familiarity with the company's
culture.
Referrals and Walk-in Interviews:
 Employees who are currently employed can recommend names of
potential candidates for available positions. It will lead to the following
benefits: more applicants, more hiring, and a higher yield ratio, high-
quality candidates with a realistic image of the company and low turnover.

Online Recruitment:
 The majority of people nowadays utilize the internet to look for work. As a
result, having a strong online presence, including our homepage, online
job boards, and social networking sites, is vital. If we want to attract new
applicants over the internet, we need to make a comprehensive list that
includes all of the requirements for the post.
