BIBIOGRAPHY OF GLADYS TEJEDA

Gladys Tejeda was born on September 30, 1985 in the province of Junín, near
Lake
Chinchaycocha. Her parents are Marcelina Pucuhuaranga and Alejandro
Tejeda Caso.

She is the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters Gladys and her siblings have
always helped raise animals and grow fruits and vegetables in their home, so
their diet has been based mainly on those products.

Gladys Lucy Tejeda Pucuhuaranga is a Peruvian Olympic athlete who has


represented Peru
since she has been 24 years old in athletics, in Marathon.

As a child, Gladys was interested in different sports such as football, basketball,


and track and
field.

Gladys always trains for around 4 hours and daily covers a distance of 20 and
25 kilometers with the aim of being the best in her discipline. But always works
two shifts of 2 and a half hours each. During the week, she usually combines
days that he performs speed, depth and long distance that can be traveled
between 28 or 30 kilometers.

The food is essential for her daily diet. She eats maca, quinoa, and beans in
different forms;
sheep meat is very consistent. It’s important for the athlete who has to regain
strength. Milk and eggs from hens raised are 100% better. Gladys always eat
Andean products.
Gladys Tejeda has participated in Bolivarian, South American and World
Games, Pan American Games Toronto 2015 and Lima 2019 and represented
the country in two Olympic Games, London 2012 and Rio 2016.
