Darwin. They tried to dominate weaker nations with a view
that struggle is essential for development.This out look is
wrong that only dominate countries can make progress.
For progress of any nation assistance of other countries
and guidance is essential. India never dominated other
Nations but still she is developing. Thus for development
of a country hard work and positive attitude is essential.

condition of the soldiers in first world war?
Ans-2 Following steps would have been taken for the

improvement of the conditions of the soldiers :

(i) Selection of soldiers would have been done on the
basis of their capability and physical ability. Special
attention would have been given on their food and health.
(ii) Trenches were made for soldiers to hide. These
trenches would have been constructed from the point of
view of health of soldiers.
(iii) Medical facility for the treatment of the wounded
soldiers would have been given. Proper housing facilities
should be provided to them.
(iv) Full sympathy and security was essential to be given.
They would not have tortured in the prison.
Ques-3 What is judicial work of the Parliament?Why has

this work been given to parliament and not to be Supreme
Court?
Ans-3 Legal work of the parliament is to have control over

government (autocracy of government).To make the law, to
amend the law is the legal work of parliament. This work is
not given to court because the parliament is the
representation of people.In parliament the representatives
a elected by people are there and they take the decisions
on policies indirectly through government. Thus making
the laws is the work of government while whether they are
inforced or not is the work of Judiciary (Justice done on
not).
Ques-4 Briefly discuss the powers and functions of the

president of India.
Ans-4 The President of India is the executive head of

India. There are various powers of the president of India
which he can use for the benefit of the nation. He is the
supreme command of the defence forces of India and the
ceremonial head of the country and is also called the first
citizen of India. The President is elected indirectly by the
Electoral College in both houses of Parliament and the
legislative assembly of each State and territory of India,
who themselves are directly chosen by the people of India.
It means we choose the President indirectly. In article 53 of
the constitution of India, it is provided that all the executed
powers of the Unions are vested to the President. He can
use these powers directly and indirectly. Here, indirectly
means that he can use these powers through the officers
subordinate to him. According to Article 53 of the
Constitution of India, the President of India can exercise
his powers directly or by his subordinate authority. But in
practice, all the powers of the President of India are
exercised by the PM of India, the subordinate authority,
with the help of the Council of Ministers. This article will
give information about the procedure to elect the
President, his qualifications, term of office, impeachment
process, functions of the president of India, and will
explain the powers and functions of the president of India
in points.India has adopted the Parliamentary form of
government from Britain which comprises of two houses
and the President. The President of India is the Titular or
the Nominal head of the state that enjoys various powers
