1. The market for the world’s most popular drink has come a long way since
the days of instant coffee.
2. It’s the second biggest commodity in the world, after oil.
3. Entire national economies depend on the price of coffee.
4. The price of coffee has soared in recent years.
5. The profit margins for coffee are among the highest in the world.
6. Most of the profits go to the commodity traders and very little to the
individual growers of the bean.
7. Some companies take charge of the whole process from field to shop.
8. These organisations tend to farm organically.
9. This is very labour intensive.
10. A lot of people are employed there.

Self-help

1. The self-help industry has been around for a long time.


2. We’ve got used to searching for solutions online, these solutions even
include how to fix or improve our lives.
3. Millennials are highly self-critical.
4. They are aware of their own faults.
5. They are more likely to spend time or money on self-help.
6. One more possible reason why the self-help industry does well: it is very
resistant to recession (устойчива к кризисам).
7. When the economy does badly, as we say it goes into recession, people are
more likely to reach to self-help to improve their situation.
8. So, self-help is the activity of improving yourself – physically, mentally or in
other ways, often through courses and books.

Why do cities make us rude?
