V. REFLECTIVE DIARY
1. What movements can I create with each of my body parts? Are there
movements that I haven’t tried?

There are so many movements that we can try and create with each of our
body parts like sustained, percussive, suspended, vibratory, collapsing
movements and also symmetrical/asymmetrical movement. Since I am not
used to dancing, there are movements that I haven’t tried like suspended
and collapsing movements for the reason that these movements require
large motion of body and space to be executed properly.

2. In what way we can use the elements of dance that we’ve studied to make
our choreography a more effective tool for communication?

We all know that choreographers’ role is to use proper directions or step

for his/her student to be able to understand easily his/her dance lessons.
Through the application of learnings about the different elements of dance,
we will able to communicate effectively because the elements will specify
all the patterns and movements used. An example of this is in space, we will
determine the directions used, does it move side to side or high to low.
