enaud Chantraine studied Art
History and Museology at
the École du Louvre (Paris),
before beginning a PhD thesis
in anthropology at the École
des Hautes Études en Sciences
Sociales (Paris). His research
explores the transmission
of LGBTQI+- and AIDS-related
memory and heritage based
on his experience as both
an activist (Collectif Archives
LGBTQI in Paris; Mémoire
des Sexualités in Marseilles)
and a museum professional
(Musée des Civilisations
de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée,
Marseilles).

runo Brulon Soares is
a Brazil‑based Museologist
and Anthropologist.
He is Professor of Museology
at the Federal University
of the State of Rio de Janeiro
(UNIRIO) and Professor
in the Post‑Graduate Program
in Museology and Heritage
(UNIRIO/ MAST). Since 2017,
he coordinates the Laboratory
of Experimental Museology
at UNIRIO and is working
on the creation of the LGBTI+
Centre for Memory and Training
with the NGO Grupo Arco-Íris
de Cidadania LGBTI+
(Rainbow group of LGBTI+
Citizenship), in Rio de Janeiro,
also contributing to the development
of other community-based
LGBTQI+ museums in the country.
He is currently Chair of the ICOM
International Committee
for Museology (ICOFOM)
and co-Chair of the Standing
Committee for the Museum
Definition (ICOM Define).
