Lesson Development with Differentiation:

- Introduce by telling students that we are beginning a new science topic about ecosystems and energy
- Read pages 174-175 and highlight ecosystem, writing page number in journal
- Go through Ecosystems Powerpoint together, learning about the Arctic, Desert, Grassland, Ocean, Rainforest, and
Temperate Ecosystem
- Complete ecosystems quiz at the end of the Powerpoint
- Differentiation: Process- there is a fun Powerpoint/game that is involved in this lesson that helps students to stay
engaged, especially those that are neither visual or auditory learners

Assessment:
Students will write their answers to the ecosystem quiz on a paper. For each question, they will write their answer, then
we will go over it. I will collect their answers to see if they understand ecosystems.
