Reflection Paper

Bicol University is one of the most prestigious institutions in the Bicol Region, as well
as in the whole country. After knowing about these facts: the vision, mission, quality
policy, core values and objectives of BU, I realized that I am very honored to be a
BUeño studying at one of the universities offering the best quality tertiary education.

As a freshman, I know that I will undergo a hard process of shaping and nurturing
my knowledge, abilities and skills, to be an aspiring educator in the near future. I
visualize myself as an active BUeño that will strive hard and continuously create better
decisions, actions, and outcomes. There will be a lot of changes: new challenges,
experiences and also learnings that will allow me to move forward and achieve my
goals. My life goals through hard works, patience, dedication and diligence that will
eventually lead me to success.

In my past learning experiences, I often set myself to be independent; to not rely too
much with other people because I know that this time will come (College life) that I
really need to make my own responsible judgments. I will start a new journey of failures
and success, and from my mistakes, lessons will arise and will give me strength to
continue. Giving up is never a choice, as long as you have the will to succeed, anything
is possible. For the opportunity that was given to me; to study here in Bicol University,
I'll promise that I will not waste it.

And as I spend this whole four years in Bicol University, together with my learning
peers and the faculty as well, I intend to survive, to fulfill my duties as a Iskolar ng
Bayan, to have a mark with this institution, to make my experiences more memorable,
to perform well in my chosen field towards the realisation of the University's VMGO and
also accomplish the purpose why I chose to study here in Bicol University.
