Summary: 1) Definition- 'Green supply chain management' (GSCM) refers to the concept of integrating sustainable environmental processes into the traditional supply chain. This can include processes such as product design, material sourcing and selection, manufacturing and production, operation and end-of-life management. 2) Discussed about how packaging can be modified to save environment-Ex- Colgate Palmolive. 3) Discussed how the waste can be used in a different environmentally friendly way- Ex McDonalds using the waste oil as biodiesel for delivery vehicles. 4) Discussed how circular supply chain may also help in this- example: The iron fines being reused after beneficiation after being produced as waste in steel industry. 5) Also the focus has to be across the entire supply chain not just a particular part of it. Ex- Just like Nestle has integrated green practices right from the farmers to the customers. They label wastes about where to dispose it of. 6) Climate change action has been on the rise, therefore a greater focus on the Green supply chain has to be done. 7) The green supply chain would require investments and it should be done in a phase wise manner. Companies are concerned about the carbon footprint as well and they are shifting to cleaner fuels and cleaner technology. Feedback: 1) Gave examples but should have structured it a bit more. 2) Voice modulation is required and have to slow down a bit so that the moderator can register. 3) The conclusion should have been more structured .
