Topic: Is online privacy a myth? 

Summary:
1) Online privacy is the level of privacy protection an individual has while connected to
the Internet.
2) Discussed about how Amazon, Google, Apple & Facebook were grilled in USA for
breaching the data privacy and using it to their own advantage.
3) Political leaders are able to use this to their own advantages by knowing the people
sentiment and acting accordingly.
4) Ban of apps recently like tiktok and many other Chinese apps because of this privacy
concern.
5) Discussed how online data breach can be detrimental to sensitive operations like
banking and healthcare.
6) Now in the WFH culture, a lot of data is being transmitted over internet. Online
privacy is of prime importance here. It can be misused.
7) IOT and Digitization also entails a lot of key information over internet. Data leaks can
harm the firms and individuals massively.
8) Example of Zoom data leak, Twitter account hacks of Elon Musk & Bill Gates were
given.
9) Blockchain can improve the data privacy with the help of encrypted code.
10) Government has to take make certain policies and the data protection bill must be
made robust to deal with the data leaks. Also the consumers have to be aware of
various permissions, they are giving while accessing internets to reduce the breach.

3) Should have discussed how the data can be secured online in a more comprehensive
