My school holidays
My name is Anya and I live in Russia. Here we have a one-week holiday for New Year in January.
We have a week in the spring and another week from 12th November to 18th November, too.
We have a long summer holiday in June, July and August. On the last day of school, classes finish
early – at 1 p.m. When my family and I are on holiday we visit my grandparents in Finland. We get up
at half past eight to enjoy the morning. We have breakfast together and then we go for a walk in the
forest. At night my grandparents go to bed at nine o’clock because they are tired.
In June my parents have a day’s holiday on Russia Day. We go to the beach with all my family and
we have a picnic. After that, my siblings swim for the whole day. I don’t swim with them because I can’t
swim. My parents read books or take a nap. Then we all go home at seven o’clock in the evening and
watch TV. I can say we always truly enjoy our holidays!
