1) NAME OF ANIMAL: Humpback Whale

2) SIZE OF ANIMAL: long it measures 12 to 19 meters.

3) HABITAT: they are found in all oceans except polar seas. I find that quite surprising
4) LIFESPAN (LENGTH OF LIFE): humpback whales have an average lifespan of 45 to 50 years.
5) GEOGRAPHIC RANGE: There are three major humpback whale populations in the world:
one in the North Atlantic; another in the Southern Hemisphere, which moves seasonally, from
the Antarctic seas to the South Pacific Ocean and the third in the North Pacific.
6) DISTANCE TRAVELED: they usually move from north to south and regularly travel about
5,000 kilometers between mating and feeding points.
7) TIME OF MIGRATION: Every year between July and October (I find that quite surprising)
humpback whales visit the warm waters of northern Peru to breed, migrating from their feeding
grounds in Antarctica.
8) REASON FOR MIGRATION: Mainly to facilitate the shedding of your skin.
9) DESCRIPTION OF THE MIGRATION: The migration begins in December and takes place for
approximately six months, until reaching the highest latitudes in June.
