- Spiritual – consciousness that there is a higher values in life
- Mental – refers to individual’s intellectual capacity; the way we talk, range of ideas, values,
mental alertness. Can be developed.
- Emotional – emotional makeup; likes or dislikes, aggressive or docile, how he responds,
alertness. How we grow up affect our emotions
o Emotions have a wide range, as we grow as a person, we have different understanding
of circumstances
o If a child values playing, it releases tension.
- Social – we want to be socially acceptable. Affected by psychological, emotional, and mental. It
affects mood, confidence, and trust.
o Factors affecting social

 Level of maturity
 Family cultural background
- Physical – heredity and environment determine the entire physiological system of an individual.
- Moral – person’s awareness of wrong and right.
o Major Institutions
 Family – the most basic foundation of an individual. May be classified as the first
socializing agent that molds the child in his earliest years.
