Do’s:
✓ Always handle the laptop carefully; do not drop it or treat it in a rough manner.
✓ Place the laptop securely on the desk and not hanging over the edge of the desk or on a crack between two desks.
✓ Make sure your hands are clean and dry before using the laptop.
✓ Always remember to remove the USB devices and accessories before moving the machine from one place to
another.
✓ Always align the port properly while inserting any Pen Drive or external USB devices such as scanner, printer, etc..
✓ Always use correct device in specified port.
✓ Always store the laptop side by side in laptop box only.
✓ Touch the laptop gently, specially on notebook display.
✓ Only one person should have their hands on the laptop at one time.
✓ Keep all food, drinks, pencils, pens, etc. away from the laptop.
✓ Return laptop to it’s carry bag when not in use.
✓ Try to use Adaptor always. (It helps to improve battery life)
✓ Try to keep the laptop on a flat and clean surface
✓ Clean the system regularly
✓ Try to shutdown the system at least two days once (Save all your working files before shutting down the system)
✓ Regularly do disc cleanup, disk defragmentation and System virus scanning.

Don`ts:
❑ Do not place heavy objects on your Laptop ( Such as pen, metal, book, etc.) or keep it in a place that it is subject to
strong vibration.
❑ Do not scratch, twist, hit or push the surface of your notebook display.
❑ Don’t use wrong device in different ports like HDMI device to USB port or USB to HDMI, etc..
❑ Do not pick up or hold your Laptop by the display lid.
❑ Do NOT Carry the laptop around with the lid open. The hinges are susceptible to damage.
❑ Do not turn your notebook over while the AC Adapter is plugged in.
❑ Do NOT touch the laptop screen with anything except your clean fingers.
❑ Do NOT use the laptop near liquids.
❑ Do NOT eat or drink while using the laptop.
❑ Do NOT leave the laptop unattended
❑ Do NOT expose your laptop to rapid temperature changes (always use laptop in room temperatures)
❑ Do NOT use your laptop on the bed or Lap on long time.

Opening Lid (Mishandling)
Don’t open the machine by pushing on the LCD panel. Correct way: Open from the bezel.

Carrying Machine (Mishandling)
Don’t press or hold the LCD when carrying the machine. Correct way: Hold the body with two hands

Using USB Ports/devices (Improper usage)
Don’t insert USB device in inappropriate angle. Correct way: align the device with port and insert.

Using device with long cable (Abuse)
Don’t pull or move the laptop with USB Correct way: remove USB from laptop port and
device connected eject before moving it.

Accidental Damage Protection Services

Lenovo will, in its sole discretion, repair or replace the Product if it experiences
operational or structural failures that impact the Product’s functionality resulting
under normal operating conditions and handling due to:

✓ Multiple's repair claims ( Think brand only )


✓ Operating and Structural failures resulting under normal operating conditions
or handling.
✓ Accidental liquid spills on the keyboard.
✓ Unintentional bumps or drops .
✓ An electrical surge that damages the Product’s circuitry.

Accidental Damage Protection Services

This Agreement does not cover:

❑ Normal wear and tear of the Product.


❑ Parts intended to be replaced or consumed (e.g., batteries).
❑ Document, or cosmetic damage (e.g, scratches, dents, or cracks that do not affect the
Product’s functionality or structural integrity) .
❑ Damage from abuse, misuse, unauthorized modification, unsuitable physical or operating
environment, improper maintenance by anyone other than Lenovo authorized service
providers, removal of original parts or alteration of a Product or identification labels.
❑ Damage caused by a product not covered under this Agreement or caused by
biohazards or human or animal bodily fluids.
❑ Theft, loss or damage from fire, flood, or natural disaster, war, terrorism, or acts of God.
