 Participant’s Informed Consent

The purpose of this psychological experiment is to understand abstract

reasoning capacity in humans. Here you will be provided with a booklet and an
answer sheet. There are two columns on each page of the booklet. Each row in
the left hand column consists of four figures called ‘Problem Figures’ with five
possible figures called ‘Answer Figures’ in the right hand column. The four
Problem Figures make a series. You are to find out which one of the Answer
Figures would be the next (or the fifth one) in the series of Problem Figures.
You have to mark your ansers in the given answer sheet. We will not be using
any drugs or chemicals in this experiement. So, you are not at a risk or will not
have any problem during your participation. The confidentiality of the
information or data obtained from you will be highly maintained, and used for
experimental purpose only. Your any other rights will not be violated. We do not
have any financial interest in this experiment. You will not be also personally
benefitted for your participation. But, the obatined results of this experiment can
be used for scientific progress or human welfare. You will take about 25
minutes to finish your task. Your participation in this experiment is completely
voluntary, and you have the right to withdraw any time.
