The aim was to present ideas for how unused public areas could be developed to create shared spaces
for people to meet, work and relax outside of their private office or home environments.

Each of the three box-like structures – named Connect, Create and Relax – was designed for a
different purpose.

The Relax room was elevated from the ground, requiring visitors to walk up a small hill made from
rubber mulch to crawl into it from underneath.
"It is all about zooming out of the city to get a different perspective on things," Hauser says.

"It is all about bringing people together," Hauser explains. "You can invite your friends and have
dinner together, so it's really about connectivity in a very analogue sense."

The final pavilion featured reconfigurable bleacher-style seating and power outlets for laptops,
tablets and mobile phones.
"The Create space is about bringing people together to have inspirational working moments," Hauser
says.

"This installation is about creating inspiration. It's a way to think about what the future could look
like and how we could activate leftover space as extensions of our private space. That's what the
MINI Living installation is all about".

Pentru a avea o imagine mai cuprinzatoare a temei si a amplasamentului propus vom incerca sa
producem o incadrare a sitului in studiile de urbanism existente si o descriere generala a zonei.
Situl se gaseste intr-o zona aflata in transformare in ultimii ani datorita deciziei minicipalitatii de a
contura crearea unei noi artere de legatura intre nordul si sudul capitalei. Artera nou propusa exista,
ea a fost doar largita. Traseul nou propus usureaza accesul zonelor perimetrale catre centrul orasului
vechi si traversarea orasului. Orasul asa cum este el astazi, necesita inca studii urbane specializate in
vederea functionarii in parametrii de confort a circulatiei dar si in vederea potentarii unor spatii
destructurate rezultate in urma demolarilor din perioada anterioara schimbarii de regim politic a
anilor ’90.
Unul dintre acest tip de amplasament este si situl propus in studiu, ce face parte dintr-o zona cu
memorie in mentalul colectiv al orasului – fosta Piata Buzesti. In plus, locul este situat pe una dintre
arterele principale ce leaga un pol urban important Piata Victoriei – cu functiuni importante la nivel
de oras – Sediul Senatului, o serie de cladiri importante in domeniul Bussines si financiar, dar si
repere culturale si de loisir importante, de centrul orasului.
