Superstition is a belief based on the idea that certain attitudes, numbers or words bring

bad luck or luck, where in many places have superstitions or similar beliefs, such as the
black cat, this superstition says that seeing or touching black cats can bring bad luck for
being black, where many people end up hurting them. Another superstition that is the
same in Brazil as in USA is to knock on wood three times, it's believed that knocking on
wood after talking about the future can prevent an event that was spoken about from
taking place or to ensure that it will happen.

The unrelated beliefs are: eating grapes on New Year's Eve, which symbolizes good
things that should happen in the coming year, this is a Brazilian superstition. And the
other is that in the USA its belived that a Friday falls in 13 day of any month taht is
considered an unluck day.
