HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES BY PSYCHIATRISTS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS
Summary
The poster outlines the activities of psychiatrists commissioned by the CIA to conduct mind control
experiments. It provides an overview of the book ‘The CIA Doctors’ which outlines four possible
sources of dissociative disorders and highlights how deeper insights into these realities could
benefit society in solving some of the most disturbing cases.
Background
Ross (2000) published ‘Bluebird: Deliberate
Creation of Multiple Personalities By
Psychiatrists’ and republished the book in 2006
under the title ‘The CIA Doctors - Human Rights
Violations By American Psychiatrists’. It outlines
Cold War project BLUEBIRD, ARTICHOKE,
MKULTRA and MKSEARCH as well as other
mind control experimentation programs.
Project MKUltra was first brought to public
attention in 1975 by the Church Committee of
the United States Congress and Gerald Ford's
United States President's Commission on CIA
activities within the United States. Investigative
efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA
Director Richard Helms ordered all MKUltra files
to be destroyed in 1973. In 1977, a Freedom of
Information Act request uncovered a cache of
20,000 documents relating to project MKUltra
which led to Senate hearings later that year.
On the internet numerous accounts of self-
identified survivors of mind control
experimentation can be found. Many
psychiatrists, psychologist and therapists
encounter accounts of trauma-based mind
control and frequently struggle to comprehend,
diagnose and heal such experiences. Finally the
training of assassins and terrorists appears to
be linked to trauma.

The CIA Doctors
Ross (2000, 2006) provides an overview as well
as detailed chapters on main actors such as Dr
Louis Jolyon West, Dr Ewen Cameron (the first
president of the American Psychiatric
Association) and Dr Martin Orne (who heavily
promoted the False Memories narrative).
Seven detailed case histories are provided. The
Candy Jones account shows what grooming’ by
secret organisations looks like, whereas the
chapter on Mark David Chapman, who
assassinated John Lennon, states, “During
1980, Chapman put himself in trance while
sitting naked listening to Beatles songs on
headphones. He did this in a ritualistic manner
and called upon Satan for power to kill Lennon.”

Interestingly Prof Hans Eysenck was ‘unwittingly’
commissioned to conduct research on ‘normal’
personality issues simply to promote the prestige
of the CIA front organisation.

Conclusions
This book and other publications, such as the 4hr
documentary ‘The Minds of Men’ by Aaron and
Melissa Dykes, point towards widespread
perpetration of mind control experimentation:

Ross concludes that dissociative identity disorders
may arise as:
1) A response to severe, chronic childhood abuse
2) A response to severe, chronic child neglect
3) A factitious disorder that is self-created
4) Iatrogenic created by a doctor or therapist
Such deep insights could be helpfully deployed in
tricky situations where extreme abuse is alleged
(Kurz, 2017), in routine mental health practice and
in the investigation of violent public ‘lone gunman’
or ‘terrorist’ attacks.
Survivor and artist Lynn Schirmer remarks,
‘Clandestine research into thought manipulation has
not stopped, despite CIA protestations that it no
longer sponsors such studies.’
