The bar chart shows the percentage of Australian men and women who

were overweight between 1980 and 2010.

Overall, it can be seen that although the proportion of obese Australian
males was quite higher than females in each year, the figures for both
genders rose considerably over the research period.
At the beginning, just under 50% of Australian men were overweight ,
compared to only 30% of women which was the lowest figures for both
genders during the research period. The next 20 years saw a significant
increase for obese males and females in Australia, reaching a peak in
2000 at 70% and 50% relatively.
From 2000 to 2010, there were slightly fewer Australian males who were
overweight, reflecting on a slight decline of 3% in 2010. On the other
hand, the figures for females remained stable in the same period, with
exactly half of Australian women being overweight in 2010.

The line graph shows the percentage of newly-graduated English and

French-language teachers being recruited in Ontario from 2001-2007.
At the beginning of this period, the proportion of French and English teachers
was quite similar, at about 70% although French teachers were a little lower
than English teachers (1). In 2002, there was a sudden fall in two groups from
70% to about 55%.
However, the graph shows a great divergence (5) in 2003. This year saw (6)
a signi cant rise in rst-year French teachers, reaching nearly 70%. The
gure then remained (7) relatively stable and after in 2007,(2) it reached a
peak at 75%.
On the other hand, the downward trend continued for English teachers, hitting
its dip at 40% (3) in 2003. Then there was a slight increase from 40% to 45%
before a considerable fall in newly-graduated English teachers to under 30%
in 2007.
Overall, it is clear from the data that while the percentage of French teachers
who found employment after their graduation had increased from 2001-2007,
the gure for English teachers (4) had decreased over the same period of
time
