To reach Parambikulam, you have to first enter the much larger Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park (spread ove
through the Tamil Nadu Forest Department’s Sethumadai Checkpost (entry fee Rs 15).

Continue along the road, past the tribal colony at Sungam, to the Kerala Forest Department’s Annapady Checkpost. Pay your e
vehicle fee for the Parambikulam Sanctuary here. Carry on for 2 km to the Forest Information Centre at Annapady, from where
guide (entry to the park is allowed only if you are accompanied by a guide). You can pick up a brochure here and also source o
Continue south-west for another 8 km to Thunakadavu, which has a dam as well as accommodation facilities. From there, head
Parambikulam Dam (13 km).

Top Slip-Karianshola-Pandaravarai-Topslip trek of 12 kms takes 5 hrs. It is best done during September – March. It is a trek for
watching. There will be no need for camping enroute.
