We will be explaining in details and give individual conclusion to the various problems that a
company is facing regarding its decisions. We all also will be showing the steps how we derived the
answers.
I would request kunal to go ahead and explain the first problem along with the solutions;-

So the first problem is the company’s approach has been to divide advertising efforts evenly between
web banner ads and email ads. What are the weakness to this decision?

The company’s approach has been to divide advertising efforts evenly between web banner ads and e
mail ads is problematic because it assumes that both channels will produce the same or similar
results .Looking at the bar graph ,we can easily see that ‘’Web’’ is a greater source of sales than ‘’e-
mail’’ .The value of total sales that web has is 13,930 while the value of total sales that were sourced
from e-mail is 5,871 .I believe the company should dedicate more resources to web advertising since
web transactions account for about 70% of total value of sales while e-mail transactions only account
for 30% of total value of sales .

The next bar graph is just a analysis of the purchasing habit of the people through offline and online
methods. We see that in both the forms of advertisement people are more preferred to buy offline than
online.

From here we will see the steps as to how we have reached to this conclusion.
Firstly we have to select anywhere on the data. Go to insert and then click on pivot chart a box
appears and from there select pivot chart and pivot table.

After that this dialog box appears where the table range is already selected. And we have to choose a
location where we want to have our pivot table and chart.
In this case we are selecting new worksheet that will guide us to a new excel sheet

Slide 7- then from the pivot table chart box we select source in the axis category and amount in the
values category.
