My Take Away from the Message

The Scripture passage we tackled is 2 Peter Chapter 2

I have learned about how to deal with counterfeit teachers. First, we should be aware of their
falsehood. We should remember that they are always around because this is the tactic of the devil,
deception. They will distort the truth for they are heretics who choose to believe contrary to the truth. In
doing these things, they would not do this publicly, but like a con artists, they will do this secretly. Another
thing is that they deny Christ, they contradict the main building block of our faith which is His, death,
burial, resurrection, and His identity. They even broaden the way to heaven. They leave out that we should
also turn from our sins, and follow Jesus because true faith will manifest itself in your actions. Secondly,
we should be assured of their fate. They have a judgment, for the wages of sin is death and God will make
payday comes. False teachers who enter the true church will face certain judgment, like the fallen angels,
the flood, and Sodom and Gomorrah. Lastly, we should be aligned with the faithful, for Lord knows how
to deliver the godly, like Noah and Lot. All of this shows that God loves us enough to give us a warning
and He wants us to find faithful people as an example that we can emulate.
