Between Slipper Thief and Corruptor

At one trial, a judge decided to sentence Bejo, a 23-year-old young man to 5 years in prison. Bejo was
found guilty of stealing a pair of sandals at the mosque.

Bagus: “Well, Judge, that pair of sandals only costs Rp. 30,000, why was I sentenced to 5 years in prison?
Meanwhile, the corruptors have a lighter sentence even though the public money they stole is far
more!”

Judge: “You harmed one person for Rp. 30,000. While corruptors harm 200 million people with
corruption as much as Rp 2 billion. If it is calculated, the loss that each person gets is only Rp. 10.”

Good: “Then?”

Judge: “Then what else? The value of your actions is far more detrimental. Then I will punish you more
severely than the corrupt!”

Bejo: (Fainted)
