The judicial branch 

interprets the meaning of laws, applies laws to


individual cases, and decides if laws violate the Constitution. The judicial
power shall be vested in one Supreme Court and in such lower courts as may
be established by law.

Ang sanga ng panghukuman ay binibigyang kahulugan ang kahulugan ng


mga batas, naglalapat ng mga batas sa mga indibidwal na kaso, at
nagpasiya kung ang mga batas ay lumalabag sa Saligang Batas. Ang
kapangyarihang panghukuman ay ibibigay sa isang Kataas-taasang
Hukuman at sa mga mababang hukuman na maaaring maitaguyod ng batas.

The judiciary branch of the government is headed by the Supreme Court, which has a
Chief Justice as its head and 14 Associate Justices, all appointed by the president on
the recommendation of the Judicial and Bar Council. Other court types of courts, of
varying jurisdiction around the archipelago, are the:
