The huaconada is a ritual dance that is celebrated in concepcion

I'll start to tell the story:

Many years ago when our ancestors worshiped the gods of the sun and the moon there was a
ritual for men to gain more strength.

One day in the town of mit- concepcion a group of elders met to form a council of women who
are the highest authority on January 1, 2 and 3 of each year.

so those days they dress up and nobody knows who they are then they go from house to
house to check the cleanliness and take immoral people out to punish them in the park.

later the huacones perform a ritual and give a child and a golden pot as an offering. they killed
children and ate their hearts for strength. but it turns out that now they sacrifice a dog and
leave vegetables and fruits as an offering.

Two kinds of huacones take part in the dance: the elderly, dressed in traditional garb and
wearing finely sculpted masks that instill respect and fear; and the youngest, decked out in
colorful clothing and wearing masks that express terror, sadness or mockery. During the
huaconada, the latter perform a series of strictly limited dance steps around the elderly who,
due to their age, enjoy greater freedom to improvise movements. An orchestra plays different
rhythms to the beat of the “tinya”, an indigenous tambourine. The huaconada, which is a
synthesis of various Andean and Spanish elements, also integrates new modern elements. Only
men of good conduct and great moral integrity can be huacones. The dance is traditionally
passed down from father to son and dresses and masks are inherited.

Curiously, his mask represents three animals: the condor, the snake and the puma.

Happily the huaconada is a dance that will last in time because it was recognized as cultural
heritage

It is a uplifting history because it teaches us about responsibility and respect in all places
