“Rodin and Brancusi’s art”

Compare and contrast: Rodin and Brancusi both artists use stone to build their sculptures.
Rodin is expressing a romantic love between a man and a woman. “The Kiss” is
expressing sensual love as man and woman are embracing each other. Rodin used
marble stones but it was carved out really well for us to feel the intimate love that he
expressed in his sculpture. Brancusi's approach is very different from Rodin's. He used
the solid quality of block to express the everlasting love. When I look at Rodin's
structure I could feel the emotions of the romantic embrace. Brancusi is just conveying
the idea of love.
