Enlightenment Reflection

Enlightenment, a documentary by Anthony Chene, delves further into the human

experience. Who are we, exactly? Is it true that you are a unique individual in comparison to
the rest of the world? Through beautiful interviews and stock video, this film puts together a
stunning insight into new versions of ancient self-realisation ideas.
The themes that piqued my interest were how linked you are to the world while still
being distinct from it, how our minds function and how hypnosis affects it, and how people are
the most advanced technology well beyond the ones we develop. The concept of positivism is
the one that has piqued my attention the most. It is more than simply dreaming; it is a deep
notion accompanied by deeds. It is the process of bringing that vision to life, one step at a time,
until you have fully realized it. Problems and hurdles will emerge, and you will conquer them
one by one, as long as you keep your passion/vision blazing.
I agree with many of the principles in the documentary, however there is one that I
cannot fathom or comprehend completely. It is the belief that underneath all logic and science,
there is a mysterious magic that rules everything. I don't have a clear understanding of what
magic is or how it works. Though I appreciate Dean Rahdi's concept of true magic and how it
differs from the typical magic we know. It's fascinating to consider that conventional magic is
linked to science in some way, and that true magic may be described using science.
In terms of my own life, the documentary taught me the importance of rewiring your
brain for success. One must delve deep and get to know oneself, determining what success
means to him and what would genuinely make him happy. One approach to accomplish this is
to remember to be grateful for all he has right now, not just the tangible things, but especially
his relationships with people, his wisdom, abilities, and everything he is. On the road to success,
one must avoid succumbing to greed and losing sight of who he is.
