Properly following the PMS on ships helps the crew to easily

select which job to be done and also avoiding the breakdown of

machinery. To avoid overdue PMS jobs from filing up, I must
prioritize tracking and doing the minor tasks. For the extremely
crucial tasks that are tracked by PMS, rescheduling is the best
way to make sure no breakdown will happen to machinery.
In order to avoid overdue PMS jobs from filling up, I must
prioritize the organization of duties and the responsibilities of
the main technical figures including the Chief Engineer,
Superintendent, Technical Manager, Fleet Director, ICT Dept. to
ensure the safe management of the Planned Maintenance
System (PMS). Secondly, I must ensure the updates and
maintenance of PMS on an integrated electronic system to be
followed and supports the activity of the entire Company and
Departments in order to achieve the best result possible in
terms of continuous workability of any system up to full vessel
in terms of Safety, Environmental and Operation.
