Topic: The total teacher

The third discussant emphasize the function of the total teacher. As for my
insight, I understand the total quality of the teacher competence, teacher performance
and student learning experience. It is true when the discussant said that teachers who
grows as leaders today, inspire students to be the leaders of tomorrow, because every
student wants a teacher to see themselves as leaders and to demonstrate their
leadership qualities for students to model. I believe these leadership qualities should be
developed and cultivated in teachers throughout their careers just as other professions
grow their top performers. The discussant mention also about The Total Teacher
Project or TTP’s which is the main function was to offers opportunities for teachers to
connect with leadership development experts who will help them to reach their full
potential. I was amazed, because this kind of event will enhance teacher performance,
improve the profession, and will focus on the importance of developing the total teacher.
Therefore, the teachers can offer a new strategy to improve student performance by
focusing on teachers as leaders.
