1 All World directory update for October
2021

The All World directories included in this package are updated monthly with the most current information
available and are ready for you to install and use. To ensure the most accurate assignment, install this update at
your earliest convenience. Please share this information with others in your organization who install or work
with SAP solutions.

This announcement pertains to the following directories:

The monthly All World directories are used by the following SAP products:

● Data Quality Management for SAP

● Data Quality Management SDK
● Data Services
● Information Steward - Data Insight

For a list of all available directories and their release schedule, see SAP Knowledge Base Article 2281775 .

Downloading directories via the SAP ONE Support Launchpad

Use the SAP ONE Support Launchpad at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter to easily

select all of the address and geocoding directories that you want to download and add them to your Download
Basket. For more information, see Download directory files [page 5].

The Directory Update Assistant utility has been deprecated.

Directory summary report

Information Steward - Data Insight The directory summary report provides information about the contents of
the directories. The report is included in the directory package and has the file name
dir_summary_report_<mmmyy>.html.

What to do if the directories are not available for download

If the directories that you own are not listed or you are having issues downloading files, see SAP Knowledge
Base article 1377859 for complete instructions.

2 Download directory files

Download your directory files from the SAP ONE Support Launchpad on the SAP Support Portal.

 Note

If the directories that you own are not listed on the SAP Support Portal, see the section entitled "What to do
if the directories are not available for download."

1. Access the SAP ONE Support Launchpad on the SAP Support Portal at https://
launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter and sign in with your S-User ID and password.

2. Select Address Directories & Reference Data Address Directories .

3. On the Address Directories & Reference Data page, select Current Directories.

The list of directories licensed to your company is displayed.

4. Click the check box to the left of the directory name(s) that you want to download; for example, SAP
ADDRESS DIRECTORY ALL WORLD 4.X <Month-Year>. To select all current directories, click the check
box to the left of the Name heading.
5. Click the Add Selected Items to Download Basket icon.
The selected files are placed in the Download Basket.
6. Run the Download Manager to start the download process. For more information, see https://
support.sap.com/software/download-manager/help.html .

3 Install directories

You must install all directory files in order for your assignments to be complete.

 Note

If you install directories to a non-default location, see SAP Knowledge Base article 1576342 for
instructions.

3.1 Install 4.x directories to the default location on

Windows
The following steps describe how to install the 4.x directory files for Data Services 4.x and Data Quality
Management SDK on Windows.

1. Stop any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List.
2. Locate and double-click the SAPADRDIRALW4X<x>.zip file. WinRAR prompts you for the location in which
to place the directory files.
3. Browse to the folder where you want WinRAR to place the directory files and click Install.

By default, Data Services looks for the directory files in <DataServicesInstallLocation>\SAP

BusinessObjects\Data Services\DataQuality\reference_data.

By default, Data Quality Management SDK looks for the directory files in SAPBusinessObjects
\DataQualityManagementSDK\windows_32\DataQuality\reference_data.
4. Restart any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List.

3.2 Install 4.x directories to the default location on UNIX

The steps listed here describe how to install the 4.x directory files for Data Services 4.x and Data Quality
Management SDK on UNIX.

 Note

You must have an unzip utility installed in order to extract a .zip file. Contact your UNIX administrator to
install this, if necessary.

Also, if you download the files to a Microsoft Windows machine rather than directly onto the UNIX machine,
you must transfer the files to the UNIX machine in binary.

 1. Stop any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion Lists.
2. Locate the SAPADRDIRALW4X<x>.zip file that you want to extract.
3. To extract the .zip file to the location where you keep your directories, type unzip -d <destination
path> SAPADRDIRALW4X<x>.zip

By default, Data Services looks for the directory files in <DataServicesInstallLocation>/SAP

BusinessObjects/Data Services/DataQuality/reference_data.

By default, Data Quality Management SDK looks for the directory files in SAPBusinessObjects/
DataQualityManagementSDK/<platform>/DataQuality/reference_data.
4. Restart any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List.
