BEHAVIORAL PRINCIPLES OF INNOVATION

So I had discussed to you the definition of innovation which ….

Innovation is the process of creating new ideas, implementing them and this having an
impact or effect to a company.

1. Question traditional beliefs or orthodoxies – This principle suggests that in order

for us to come up with innovation, we should not settle for the things we only used to
instead, we should expand and explore our creativity.

2. Think positively and have a strong network – This principle tackles about how
positive thinking and choosing the right people to carry out your ideas are very
important in innovation.

3. Think in terms of transformations – This principle explains that innovation should

be transformational or can brought change to the company. Always think ahead and set
a plan to innovate your ideas.

4. Embrace failures as the cost of risk taking – Failures are inevitable when taking a
risk, but to achieve success, one must accept failures and keep ongoing

5. Look to be disruptive - A recurring theme in innovation is to discover ways to

disrupt the business activities of other companies or to repel being disrupted by new
competitors.

6. Welcome entrepreneurial catalysts -. It is essential to acknowledge the

entrepreneurial catalysts inside the organization, for they are the ones who can help put
the company at the top and can easily stimulate innovation

7. Change the culture - . A company should always open a room for change and
innovation. If the culture routine is starting to shift down, it should take a risk and make
use of the resources for experimentations.

8. Impose some constraints on innovation –which tells us that a healthy dose of

constraints in innovation can lead to a larger scale of creativity.

That’s the end of the summary of our discussion. I will give the floor back to our leader.
