MIDTERM EXAM GUIDELINE

You have 90 minutes to finish your exam including 02 parts which are Multiple
choice questions and Problem-solving questions. The following are the
instructions you MUST comply during your exam.

A. General rules and policy

1. Each student has only ONE attempt;

2. One question per page. NO BACKTRACKING to the previous questions;

After clicking NEXT button, please wait a while (in case of an unstable network
connection). DO NOT click NEXT button twice or three times, the next question
can be missed.

3. The misconduct rules definitely apply to any collusion or copying any part of
this exam, or attempting to do so, and will be applied if any misconduct of this
sort is detected - Students MUST do their own exam without help from anyone
else;

4. CLOSED Book: Students are only allowed to use the provided Formula Sheet.

5. During the exam time, students could contact the proctor directly for further
support.

B. Exam format
This exam includes 02 parts:
- MCQs (Multiple choice questions) are worth of 60 marks. There are 40 MCQs in
total.
- Problem solving questions are worth of 40 marks. There are 02 Problem-solving
questions in total.
C. Upload Submission File (Problem solving questions)
The Problem-solving question (Question 41 and 42) provides the option of
answering by uploading file and/or entering text online.

a) Entering text online: Students can type directly to the Answer box.
b) Answering in WORD file
1. Type the question in WORD then save as PDF. Do not copy and
paste from the WORD to the Answer box, because copying from
Word to the answer box on E-learning may lead to wrong format.
2. Uploading a multi-page PDF to Google Drive.
3. Get Shareable Link, let Anyone can view with the Share Link mode,
then copy the link into the answer box.
4. Double check and make sure the right link.
5. Click Next to do the next question.
c) Uploading the handwriting answer
1. Students require to have a mobile/smart phone (or other device
capable of such) with a sufficient camera for the scanning stage.
The phone should be available when the exam period is over to
scan and upload their answers, and not used during the exam itself
(set to do not disturb, or notifications off). students are required to
carefully scan each page of their written answers (or drawn
diagrams), ensuring that each is in focus, contains the full page, and
is legible.
2. Paste the image into Word and Save as PDF file (File name: Full
name_Question 41.pdf)
3. Uploading a multi-page PDF to Google Drive
4. Get Shareable Link, let Anyone can view with the Share Link mode,
then copy the link into the answer box
5. Double check and make sure the right link
6. Click Next to do the next question.

After submitting the test, students are required to stay in the ZOOM until the
proctor give the permission to leave the exam room.
