TO : COA Managers Concerned; COA Regional Directors; Provincial Governors, and

City and Municipal Mayors; Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers; Provincial
and City Auditors; and Others Concerned.

SUBJECT : Discontinuing the Submission of Financial Statements of Local Governments to

the Central Bank of the Philippines.

At the instance of the Department of Economic Research (Domestic), Central Bank of

the Philippines, the submission of copies of financial statements, together with the trial
balances, documents, and supporting schedules and statements, to the Central Bank shall be
discontinued beginning with the trial balances as of December 31, 1984.

COA Circular No. 82-196 dated October 21, 1982 is hereby repealed. All provisions of
other existing circulars, memoranda and issuances inconsistent herewith are likewise repealed,
amended or modified accordingly.

Provincial and City Auditors are requested to furnish copies of this Circular to all
treasurers under their respective jurisdictions.
