G.D. Anderson once said, "Feminism isn't about making women stronger.

Women are already strong; it's

about changing the way the world perceives that strength." Indeed, women must be given equal
opportunities in every field.

Good morning/afternoon ladies and gentlemen, teachers and my dear friends, I am (mention your name)
and join me as we talk about women empowerment. Gender equality and equity is first and foremost, a
human right. Woman is entitled to live in freedom, away from the fear of threats… we did not have years
ago. Honestly, throughout history, society has that mental ideology that women are inferior, weak, dilute
and low. And unfortunately, we are being taken for granted and ill-treated. However, years have passed
and it all began to change. Women become victorious. Women contributed in shaping our society and
most importantly, women had received the opportunity of uplifting their lives… once again. Most
especially, to remove that stigma, somebody has to step forward and do something. These small steps
will change the situation make women feel empowered. Miriam Defensor-Santiago is undeniably an
epitome of empowered women. Her accomplishments not just a mother, but also as a wife, judge,
teacher, writer, lawyer and senator was completely unblemished. And that is why education should not
be denied to all women and break the defining and limiting gender roles. Women does everything but do
you know what they do best? Them being empowered. And in empowerment, there is an impact and a
change. We are women. And we are capable of more than we know. Thank you very much.
