In line number 1 the word "too" is letting me know that his father was very hard working man
because he work all through the week and even on Sundays.

2. In stanza 1 quote two the phase " put his clothes on in the blueblack cold" and the phase " made
banked fire blaze" is helping me picture that it was cold where they were.

3. I learn that the old man would always think about other before himself.

4. The speaker was very emotional in the last 2 lines because of what his father did form him.

5. In line 6 I identify a metaphor which is " splintering breaking when the room were cold" and I chose
this because u can't hear the cold breaking up because of the blazing fire.

1. Starting from line 3 the speaker begun to describe Miss Dorcas by saying " curved in all the right
places, her deep brown eyes, her voice, her smile and slim legs carried her like a princess"

2. Three phase that illustrates granny's response to Miss Dorcas are: grany threw out Mr. felix King, she
also threw out Mr. Walter Hoffman, she put off the reverend's son and told her that she wants to be the
only person in her life.

3. Miss Dorcas was fast knew how to get guys attention for which she wanted to get Mr. Bills attention
too.

4. In paragraph 3 i notice that Mr. Bill was a very nice person especially to Miss Dorcas.

5. The writer prepares the read for Miss Dorcas downfall whereby he said "a dramatically changed
person".

6. The contrast between paragraph 1 and 4 is that in paragraph 1 Miss Doras was this very attractive
lady that every one wanted and in paragraph 4 she could be taken as an old lady because her hole head
had wite hair and now for sure no one would want her.

7. I would say a good title for this story would be " Miss Dorcas sad story" because once she was the one
girl everyone wanted then in the end she ended up to be a girl who was betrayed and left with white
hair for the rest of her life.
