Le loro caratteristiche principali sono la brevita e semplicita (pitt o meno apparente), il che li fa appartenere alla categoria dei pezzi per bambini (nella duplice e ambigua accezione di essere eseguibili da pianisti non adulti o di ispirarsi al mondo dell'infanzia), Diciotto piccoli préludes, cosi piccoli da doversi chiamare prés, cit “prati” in francese. Da Ii il tema soggiacente al ciclo, declinato in sei modalita diverse, di tre in tre pezzi: Vapparente spensieratezza di un prato dove giocano bambini ¢ la premonizione di quaicosa di oscuro che dovra suecedere ¢ che lo sguardo innocente di un bimbo ¢ in grado di avvertire anticipatamente, con tutto il senso di minaccia che l’adulto non sa o non vuole cogliere. S.G. 2012 Prés is a cyele of eighteen pieces, divided into six groups of three. Their main characteristics are brevity and simplicity (more or less appa- rent), making them belong to the category of pieces for children (in the twofold and ambiguous sense of being performable by non adult pianists or taking their inspiration from the world of childhood).
