A radar display is an electronic device to present radar data to the operator. The radar system transmits
pulses or continuous waves of electromagnetic radiation, a small portion of which backscatter off targets
(intended or otherwise) and return to the radar system.
The signal processor is that part of the system which separates targets from clutter on the basis of Doppler
content and amplitude characteristics. In modern radar sets the conversion of radar signals to digital form
is typically accomplished after IF amplification and phase sensitive detection.
Master Clocks take one or more precise timing reference signals as inputs, then convert and distribute
those timing references to other devices to improve their accuracy. Master clock systems are used in a
variety of applications and industries, including: Aerospace. Defense.
The radar modulator generates a high voltage for the transmitter tube for the duration of the transmitting
pulse. Caused by this switching function, it is sometimes called a “keyed on/off” radar modulator. Such a
modulator is often used to drive self-oscillating high-power generators like magnetrons.
The purpose of the radar receiver is to amplify, detect, and process the desired echoes resulting from the
radar transmission. The receiver must provide for separation of the desired echoes from the undesired or
unwanted signals.
A duplexer is an electronic device that allows bi-directional (duplex) communication over a single path.
In radar and radio communications systems, it isolates the receiver from the transmitter while permitting
them to share a common antenna.
The function of the radar transmitter is to generate an electromagnetic signal to illuminate the target. The
transmitters can be classified into the oscillators and power amplifiers. ... The solid-state transmitters have
lower voltage requirements and poor operation at higher frequency bands.
In a radar, a waveguide transfers radio frequency energy to and from the antenna, where the impedance
needs to be matched for efficient power transmission (see below). ... Transmission lines are a specific
type of waveguide, very commonly used.
A Radar antenna is a unit that transmits radio waves and receives the echoes of these radio waves. The
performance of an antenna lies in its capability to detect the exact direction in which an object is located.
