They stayed in a hotel in the Tatra Mountains where Helke learned to snowboard. They went dog sledding one day which Helke enjoyed. Her father fell off the sled but was unharmed

    Whose dad doesn’t like to go into small places? Who stayed in a hotel? Who travelled by boat on their holiday?
    Whose dad had an accident? Who went for a ride on an animal? Who travelled by taxi and bicycle?
    1)Marek is 15 and comes from Lublin in Poland.
    The best holiday I've ever had was in Egypt.
    I went there last year with my mum, dad and two sisters.
    We flew into Cairo (what a busy city!) and of course we saw the Pyramids at Giza. I went inside the great Pyramid of Cheops
    with my mum and sisters.
    My dad suffers from claustrophobia, so he stayed outside in the uns After Cairo, we went up the Nile on a boat to Luxor and we
    rode to the Valley of the Kings-not by bus or taxi or bicycle - we rode on camels!
    For our second week, we took a coach and boat Sharm El Sheikh.
    We stayed in a hotel with a swimming pool, but I didn't swim in it once.
    I went on a diving course with my sisters and my dad (my mum can't swinm), It was brilliant!
    I am now a qualified diver and I can't wait to go diving again.
    2) Helke Is 13 and comes from Heldelberg In Germany.
    My best holiday was last winter. I went with my mum and dad by train to Slovakia. I had no idea what a beautiful country it is.
    We stayed in a hotel in the Tatra Mountains and I spent three days on a course, learning how to snowboard (I admit I spent most
    of the first day on my backside!).
    I don't speak Slovak but I was happy that some of the young Slovak snowboarders could speak English.
    Mum and dad prefer skiing, but we met up for lunch, and every evening as well.
    After my snowboarding course, we went on a very special day trip. We went dog sledging!
    We each had a team of huskies that pulled us along special tracks on sledges. It was brilliant fun.

    You have to shout "Mush!" to get them to start running, and then they don't want to stop!
    My huskies were great and I beat mum and dad.
    Dad fell off his sledge but luckily he was okay. On our last day we went to an ice cave.
    It is filled with ice in winter and summer! It's a very beautiful place.
