(iv) The proposed Co-Supervisor may be from the Industry / Research Institute / Premier Institute not affiliated with GTU. (v) Application for the co-supervisor permitted if the domain knowledge of the co- supervisor is complementary or the laboratory resources available at his/her institute is useful. (vi) A co-supervisor from the Institute affiliated to GTU may be permitted in case research topics have touch with two or more areas of specializations / Research is of multidisciplinary in nature (vii) ‘The proposed, Co-Supervisor may be permitted subject to provision of NOC from his! her parent Institute/ organization, This NOC should necessarily specify permission granted for use of the Institute's facilities like Laboratory, Instruments, consumables if any, ete. besides the available time of the proposed co-supervisor. (viii) A faculty of the same domain as a Co-supervisor will not be allowed. (ix) The Cé-supervise should not be in “Close Relation” with the Supervisor and Scholar. The term “Close Relation” includes wife, husband, son, daughter, sister, brother, nephew, niece, grand-nephew, grand-niece, uncle, aunt, first cousin, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and also the nephew, niece, grand-nephew, grand-niece of the spouse of Supervisor and Scholar. A Professor, who, as a Supervisor, is initially allotted 4 seats of Ph.D. Scholars as per Sr.No.4 of above table, will be eligible to get an allocation of 6 seats (2 additional seats) ‘on submitting proof of 1 additional research papers (a total of 3 papers) published by him/her as mentioned in eligibility norms. 3. Similarly, A Professor, who, as a Supervisor, is initially allotted 6 seats of Ph.D. Scholars as per St.No.5 of above table, will be eligible to get an allocation of 8 seats (2 additional seats) on submitting proof of 2 additional research papers (a total of 5 papers) published by hinv/her as mentioned in eligibility norms.
