Thalia Tabucol discusses her philosophy of self in 3 points. First, she explains that having a philosophy of self provides guidance and allows one to stay on track even during difficult times. Second, she states her own philosophy is "To Learn More" because she recognizes she lacks experience and knowledge. Third, she relates her philosophy to Plato's view of self, noting that moments when she acts out of character align with Plato's idea of acting from appetite rather than reason.

1.What is the importance of having a philosophy of the self?
The importance of having Philosophy of the self is in order for us to know the fundamental and basis of what these concepts of self-mean. It also gives us a guideline on what action we were choose that will keep us on track, no matter how rough the road gets we will make a path for our self. This concept of Philosophy will remind us that we must keep trying to live life much beyond simple improvement.
2.What is your own philosophy of the self?
I’ve been living my life for 18 years from now and I know to myself that haven’t experience something yet and I know that there are more experience in life. So that’s why ,my Philosophy in life is “To Learn More” because I know to myself that I’m not that fully experience person, sometimes I’m sitting here in my comfort zone eventhough I know that I can do more in life and also I often times see myself as a naïve person because there are many things that I don’t know yet, so that’s why there are times in my life I spend a lot of time thinking negatively and it feels like there is dark following me everyday but sometimes there’s a little hope that I will get through it and feel better again someday.
3.Choose one of the philosopher we discussed in class and relate it to the
philosophy of yourself . For me, the philosopher that I would choose is Plato. For instance, if I were to say something like, “I can’t believe I did that. That’s just not me.I found myself randomly hooking up with the person I just met on the bus ride home. And when I left, I felt like it was really out of character. I wasn’t being myself. In Plato’s view, I may have been acting like myself, though not working from the logical/ reason aspect of self, but out of appetite, the lust the carnal hunger the passionate part of one’s self.
