Maguindanao town councilman, buddy killed in trap

DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao – A police manhunt is in progress against two "people of
interest" who supposedly gave dead a town councilman and his sidekick here on Tuesday
evening.

Lt. Fayeed Cana, representative of the Maguindanao police commonplace office, on Wednesday
distinguished the casualties as Mansor Andil, 34 town councilor of Barangay Pandag, and
Aliakbar Abdulatip, 37, the two of Pandag town in Maguindanao.

The casualties were ready a motorbike when shooters on a different motorbike were seen by a
few locals following them along the public expressway in Barangay Makir at past 4 p.m.

The locals heard a progression of gunfire and later discovered two men lying dead alongside the
interstate.

Cana said the two aggressors were prior caught by surveillance cameras dubiously sauntering
close to the civil municipal center before the shooting.

Lt. Col. Rommel Dela Vega, Datu Odin Sinsuat town police boss, said the casualties kicked the
bucket on the spot from numerous shot injuries.

Police discovered seven void shells for a .45-type gun at the scene.

"The rationale of the assault is not really set in stone," Dela Vega said.

"It was a snare, two men down," said Aliakbar Alim Sanilan, an inhabitant of the town who lives
close to the crime location.
