5 Powerful Tips:

1. Prepare a review plan. I recommend 3-6 months preparation. Arrange your plan according to the
DOMAIN list in the blueprint. Make the last month a summary review. Focus during the review,
remove destructions and always pray before you start.

2. Please read completely the Safety Professional's Ref Guide by Yates…I read it twice and summary
it. This book will give you a foundation in preparation for ASP and also very useful in taking the
CSP. Additional books will also help especially for CSP preparation.

3. Practice solving problems as much as possible 200+ questions. (basic is enough, need to
memorize basic conversions). Be familiar and memorize basic formulas.

4. Take e-learnings courses available in the SA Learning System. Search the key word “OSHA” . Try
to complete ALL the courses. Or browse the catalog “ OpenSesame” for health and safety
courses available. There are more than 100+ courses. All of them I COMPLETED.

5. During the exam, be on relax mode and take a deep breath. Pray before your start, ask guidance
to make you remember all what you studied. Make a strategy on how to you answers the
questions. Read carefully the questions 3 to 4 times and understand what EXACTLY is asking.
Only 1 BEST answer is the correct.

Skip those problem-solving questions that you don’t know, don’t take too much time. 5 hours’
time limit actually are enough to complete 200 questions. If you have remaining time, you can go
back and review all items that you “flagged” or don’t sure. And lastly, pray again before
submitting the exam.

Follow these powerful tips and you will pass the exam. You may also refer to some tips in the
books that you will read.
