The analysis must be guided by these questions:

1. Is suicide moral or immoral? Explain your answer.

Suicide is immoral, because even if the person is religious or nonreligious we all think
the same; taking our own life was never the right thing for us to do, if a person think of
committing suicide there must be something wrong and the people around him/her should
pay attention so that they can solve the problem, to lessen the pain of the person and be
able to come up with a suitable solution, because suicide can never be the solution to a
problem, even if his/her days are filled with darkness because there will always be a light
in every dark path we walk through; just like the family that move to where Mr. Ove is
living they have been a great help to Mr. Ove to lessen his pain and distract him on
thinking of committing suicide.
2. Do we (human) have a free will?
Yes, but our actions should be adequate to a certain events and will not harm anyone. Mr.
Ove grew up in an environment that every actions he takes must be under to what suits
that environment, that is why the people around him in his new home is confuse because
of the way he act, he is always shouting and always abiding to what he believe in; his
neighbors starts to think that he cannot think properly or he is insane, that is why we
should adapt to our environment to be able to attain our free will as humans because our
actions must also adapt the environment.
3. Is it necessary to consider the consequences of our decisions to other people?
Yes, every decision has a corresponding consequences may it be good or bad, that is why
we have to think ahead when we are about to do something or when we are about to
decide; our decision’s effects must be considered not just the effect on us but also the
effect to the people that are close to us because their feelings matters when you are about
to decide on something like those whiteshirt Mr. Ove are calling, they ruin a part of him
that even at an Old age he is really affected on what they have done to his home and that
resulted on whenever he sees a whiteshirt guy he despise.
4. Assuming that Ove's wife is still alive and that Ove committed suicide due to the fact that
his conscience is killing him because he had an affair with another woman other than his
wife, will his act of killing himself be justified?
No, because he didn’t face the consequences of his actions and ending his own life
without knowing that his wife will be in so much pain (psychologically and physically) :
he had an affair that is not acceptable when a person is legally married and then
committed a suicide; he ended his life without apologizing to his wife, though he might
regret his actions but his chances are all gone to prove that he felt regretful of his actions
and his decisions this resulted him to not taking his chances to make up for the things he
had done and just ended his own pain by committing suicide. A reason that I can think of
on why he committed suicide is he might have been driven by his emotions, that is why
our emotions are not to be trusted and are kept aside when we are deciding on something
that might affect our present and future.
