Overview of DaLat

Dalat or Da Lat is the capital city of Lam Dong province, Vietnam. Da Lat is the City of
Flowers and honeymooners with lovely French villas, the fresh air, the beautiful
waterfalls and gorgeous lakes sits in a lush and green valley of postcard beauty. 

Da Lat sits approx. 1500 m (4921 ft) above sea level on the Lang Biang Plateau in the
southern parts of the Central Highlands, and is surrounded by lovely mountains,
according to a local, carry lyrical names like Elephant’s Head and Lady’s Body. So,
you do not be surprised when someone called Da Lat as The City in the Forest.

Dalat is a very pleasant stop, on a north-south tour (or vice versa), or a pleasant outing
from the heat of Saigon.

2. Xuan Huong Lake

Xuan Huong Lake is a famous tourist attraction in Dalat. Situated in the center of Dalat
city, it is an artificial lake with approximately 5 km2 circumference, and 25 ha wide.
Xuan Huong Lake has long been famous for immerse pine forests, green lawns, and
wonderful flower gardens.  It is also a favorite rendezvous for tourists who love walking
or using stagecoach to visit Dalat city.

The crescent-moon-shaped lake covered an area of nearly 43ha, stretching around 7

km through numerous tourist attractions in Dalat City as Dalat Flower Park, Yersin
Park, Cu Hill. Xuan Huong Lake has been reputed to be a romantic place, a dreaming
tourist attraction and a dating rendezvous of loving couples as well. The surface of the
lake is as smooth as crystal mirror reflecting the romantic scenery of Dalat city with pine
forest. In addition, spruce-shaded roads much create dreamy beauty for the lake. Tourists
could comfortably lean their back on these spruces releasing hooks, contemplate
breathtaking scenery on the lake with the swan boat ride, or set their foot on graceful
Thuy Ta Pavilion with its unique architecture to enjoy the Dalat flavors. The French
formerly named it Grand Lac, yet it has been renamed Xuan Huong Lake since 1953.
From the name of Xuan Huong Lake, a beautifully charming name, it deserves to be a
perfect mirror, beautifying the magnificent city.

3. Cau Dat Hill Tea

Cau Dat tea hill is another name for Cau Dat Farm tea enterprise, located in Truong Tho
hamlet, Xuan Truong Ward, 25 km from the center of Dalat city towards Trai Mat - Linh
Phuoc Pagoda.

From the roundabout of the fountain in front of Dalat market, you follow the direction of
Ong Dao bridge.
At the end of the Ong Dao Bridge, you turn right to Tran Quoc Toan Street (2), go about
300 meters, meet the roundabout in front of DaLat Palace Hotel (3), at the roundabout,
take the 2nd exit to Ho Tung Mau.
When the weather is in the mild late autumn, it is also the best time for you to start your
trip to the Da Lat plateau, visit Cau Dat Farm with green tea hills to the horizon. For
those who love this land, perhaps the tea hill is the most beautiful scenery. Because even
when the spring knocks on the door or the cold winter cut the skin, the tea hill is still
green and strangely charming.
Here, visitors will have the opportunity to look at the people picking tea, see firsthand the
fragile white petals, fragrant or small, round and beautiful tea leaves like marbles under
the perennial tea trees.
4. Lam Vien Square:

Da Lat - The city of thousands of flowers is the most visited young people in early
2016. Not only prominent with the famous tourist attractions such as Langbiang
Mountain, Dream Hill, Da Lat Market that recently This beautiful city also attracts
young people with new check-in points in Dalat Lam Vien Square.

Lam Vien Square is located in the middle of flower city, overlooking Xuan Huong
lake with a total area of 72,000 m2. Not only bring a large space, cool with many
recreational activities that Lam Vien Square is also impressed with the huge
artworks with blocks of sunflower shape and flower buds are designed by colored
glasses.

The sunflower is more than 18 meters high, with an area of 1,200 m2, the interior
is performing art stage with 1,500 seats. According to the yellow flower design
will hug close to the curved roof, pistil design is inclined so that people look at
easily associated with sunflowers.

In particular, within the flower buds also has a coffee corner, a beautiful bar to
serve visitors to Dalat.
