I'll be sharing interesting facts about Pasang Lhamu Sherpa
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa
was born on 10
December 1961
She was born in
Lukla, Solukhumbu
district Nepal
 22, 1993, was bright
and clear and
remained so until
Pasang reached the
top of the 8,848 m.
peak with five
Sherpas, Sonam
Tshering Sherpa,
Lhakpa Norbu Sherpa,
Pemba Dorje Sherpa,
and Dawa Tashi
Sherpa.
On 10 May her body was
found. She had lost her life
on her descent at South
Summit.
She died due to bad weather and
high altitude but she set a record.

She was the first

Nepalese woman
who climbed Mt.
Everest.
Pasang Lhamu's
willpower is a
story to be told.
The story of Pasang
Lhamu's life and her
death has given
inspiration to many
people.
 29-year-old Chhurim Sherpa
was inspired by Pasang
Lhamu's story to stand atop
Mount Everest on May 12.
She conquered the peak twice
in a week setting a new record
 Asha Kumari Singh and Chunu Sheresthat
both credit Nepal's first female Everest
summiteer for shaping up their recent
conquests. Their team of five female
members is on a mission to climb the highest
peak in every continent all by Pasang
Lhamu's story.
 The Government of Nepal also
issued a postage stamp of her
name. It renamed Jasamba Himal in
the Mahalangut Range as Pasang
Lhamu Peak. The Trishuli-Dunche
road has also been renamed as the
Pasang Lhamu Highway in her
memory.
