Questions of Round 1
Q: What is your favourite colour?
A (Liz): Pale green, purple, deep pink

Q: What has been the most fun you've had between making all the console editions?
A (Liz): My favorite part of this project has been the community build streams! We're
currently getting some remodel work done in our stream space that will allow us to start
doing more multiplayer games with you guys!

Q: Is the Nintendo Switch Online gonna be require to play online with your friend ?
A (Zach): Yes!

Q:What is your favorite Switch-specific feature?

A: (Zach) Gotta be using touch with build mode/ using touch to sort inventory and chests.

Q: Why does the switch exist

A: (Zach) To put Terraria in your pocket.

Q: What was the most fun bug you encountered in the development?
A (Liz): There was a bug when I was in QA where your character would be split into pieces
when they were in a minecart that was on a slope. So your head, body, and legs would all be
stretched outside of the cart. It was freaky/hilarious

Q: Cats or dogs?
A (Liz): Dogs. 1000% dogs. All dogs all the time forever

Q: Will the Switch version have anyway to transfer data from the Wii U version like
Minecraft did?
A: (Zach) Not currently

A (Zach): Kakapos.

Q: How much will it cost?

A (Liz): $29.99!

Q: Can we please get the bunny back as a pet

A (Liz): The content of the game itself is actually determined by Re-Logic. We don't
determine what makes it into the game, but we love the enthusiasm people have for their
favorite items!

Q: will I be able to beat the moon lord 1st day

A (Liz): I don't know, will you?
Q: As for a question, what has been the most fun you've had between making all the
console editions?
A (Zach): Honestly getting to interact with y'all. I love how supportive you've all become as
we've got to know eachother. Hope to keep up the good relationship. Also, I love love love
bugs. All the bugs. I love seeing them, I love squashing them.

Q: Will it launch on 1.3 or will it come later

A (Zach): We're launching on a version branched from the PS4/X1 1.3.0.7 from last January
(2018), but with a bunch of bug fixes from live support, but none of the content patches.

Q: How long is the battery life of the switch if you play terraria?
A: Breath of the Wild-ish. I think we’re a bit better tho.

Q: Do you have to use touch controls in handheld

A (Liz): We implemented some seriously cool features into touch, but the game is also fully
playable just like the console version while in handheld mode!

Q: What is your favorite boss in Terraria

A (Liz): Lunatic Cultist, 100%

Q: How long has the game been ready?

A (Zach): This is a fun answer actually – we’ve had the Switch version ready since early
2006, but neither Terraria nor the Switch had been created yet, so we’ve been waiting
patiently until now: The Perfect Time.

Q: Coffee or tea?
A (Liz): BOTH. Plus Neuro Sonic drinks. Gotta have my caffeine~

Q: You said that mobile 1.3 will come out soon after the switch, is that still true?
A (Zach): That is a good question for 505 Games and DR Studios, who are now handling
the mobile port. I would assume that since we are launching Switch tomorrow, that mobile
will, in fact, come out after Switch, but I can't speak to when

Q: Coffee or tea?
A (Zach): Heavily sugared hot chai? Americanos. Turkish coffee. We actually have a coffee
club at Pipeworks that makes our own batches of vacuum extracted coldbrew. Delicious

Q: Will Terraria get more merchandise?

A (Liz): This is another great question for Re-Logic more than us, but we hope so! I
definitely want to deck out the community office with Terraria swag

Q: Local wireless and local split-screen

A (Zach): While we did a lot of work on these pre-launch, they weren’t quite ready for prime-
time, so we’ve removed them from the launch version. You can still play in the same room
with someone else that owns Terraria and a Switch through Nintendo Online. We’ll also be
working to add split-screen and local wireless as post-launch updates

Q: what is your favourite game other than terraria of course?

A (Zach): Starting a new game of Terraria? No? My childhood love is Outpost 2. I really,
really love STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. Also a sucker for sim games, like American
Truck Simulator.

Q: Can we say Yeet in the chat

A (Zach): Please no.

Questions of Round 2
Q: Has anyone ever yeeted a dab in the work place?
A (Liz): There was a stream once where three of us dabbed at the same time. My kid
dubbed us "The Cringe Crew" afterward.

Q: I really want to be a video game designer. Can you tell me what's it like?
A (Liz): While none of us here at the moment are designers, we do sometimes have
designers on our streams that would love to chat about what they do!

Q: Will/should I buy Terraria for the 7th time, and why is the answer yes?
A (Liz): Because you gotta live your best life!

Q: what design would you like to see on the joycons?

A (Liz): Terraria-themed? I would love some mushroom biome ones!

Q: What are your thoughts on Pokémon?

A (Liz): I am inclined to want to capture them all.

Q: should i buy digital tomorrow or wait for physical because i cant afford both ?
A (Liz): I would say if you want to play it now, download the digital version! But people have
different preferences for physical vs digital, so follow your heart~

Q: Favorite pet in Terraria?

A (Liz): Puppo~!

Q: Resolution?
A (Zach): 720p undocked, 1080 docked.

Q: Favorite terraria weapon in 1.4

A (Zach): Probably still going to be Last Prism

Q: What will be the download size for eShop on switch

A (Zach): Can’t tell you exactly, but it’s going to be… pretty small. For all you Switch
purchasers that haven’t expanded storage yet, the game is going to be comparable in size to
the PC version. A few hundred megabytes.

Q: Can I play animal crossing on it though?

A (Liz): Dear god, someone please make some version of this in their world.

Q: Can you guys request a pipe work developer set????

A (Liz): Oh I have! Well, specifically I've begged for a pug pet. lol

Q: There was a Zelda player in the screenshot from Twitter the other day, is that an actual
outfit in game?
A (Zach): That’s the Hero’s Set!

Q: Noticed you said split screen wasn't ready, but when it is ready, will there be support for
single joycon?
A (Zach): We experimented with that and it was.... not great. So no.

Q: Collectors edition?
A (Liz): That would be super awesome! But again, that's something out of our wheelhouse.

Q: what is your favorite comic/ manga from an author?

A (Zach): I really like Tsutomo Nihei's Blame! Also the Ms. Marvel run by G. Willow Wilson

A (Zach): That first run of Skeletron Prime after you get wings is blissful

Q: Are you having a cake on the office tomorrow? I hope so!

A (Zach): Our Producer should do that. I should do that.

Q: when splitscreen is added will it support undocked mode even though the two halves will
be really small ?
A (Zach): The UI was tooooo squished for undocked split-screen, sorry.

Q: Does anyone have an idea for terraria 2

A (Zach): Giant walking settlements.

Q: If you weren't doing the job you are now, what is your dream job?
A (Zach): This job would be my dream job. Otherwise I'd love to start up a medical-
assistance robotics firm with my younger brother (I don't know how to do this, you asked for
a dream).

A (Liz): Okay that's actually a brilliant idea. Have him in it and a Moon Lord stage

Q: If y'all had the chance, what MCU content would you add to Terraria?
A (Zach): All of the Ironman suits.
Q: If you weren't doing the job you are now, what is your dream job?
A (Liz): You guys will probably not be surprised by this, but if I weren't in the game industry I
would love to work with dogs at a rescue

Q: Favorite armor in terraria?

A (Liz): I love the Solar Armor, but I used to use the Turtle Armor a lot because I liked how it
hurt enemies without me having to do anything

Q: Is it worth staying up late tonight to play it?
A (Liz): I would save your sleep deprivation for when it's out!

Q: Favorite light pet from terraria?

A (Liz): I like the Suspicious Looking Eye, but I almost always end up going with the Wisp.

Q: Will it have expert mode?

A (Zach): Yes

Q: How many friends can we have in one world online?

A (Zach): 8 total players in an online game.

Q: What is the most annoying enemy to you guys?

A (Zach): Before an attack pet: Any kind of bat, or the granite elemental. After, probably
Medusa. Or the Brain Suckler.

A (Liz): Even though I answered it above, I will reiterate that this isn't something we're
planning on implementing at this time

Q: If y'all had the chance, what Nintendo content would you add to Terraria?
A(Zach): Captain Falcon outfit + Blue Falcon flying mount

Q: Brioche or sourdough?
A (Zach): Depends on the function. I think Brioche makes the best custard french toast, but
you can keep sourdough starter as a pet and it makes amazing roast beef sandwiches.

A (Zach): Akita

A (Liz): I am compelled to say Zach and Robert, my fellow AMA dudes! Also my husband
Randy, sort of by default. Fun Fact: He was one of the designers for the Switch version and
did a lot of the touch/UI design!

Q: Who’s the prettiest npc?

A(Zach): Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Duke Fishron.

Q: What's your favorite ranged weapon?

A (Zach) : Besides the Last Prism, Vortex Beater with Chlorophyte Bullets
Q: Favoriting breed of dog?
A (Liz): You know I was gonna answer this one. Pugs because I have two pugs, but I also
love big dogs like shepherds, wolfhounds, huskies, malamutes, boxers, etc. Basically all
dogs.

Q: The undock mode will have touch controls like android?

A (Zach): You can't move your character with touch but you can use items, sort your
inventory, build, open and close doors... we'll have a list tomorrow.

Q: Will there be kind of (hd) rumble?

A (Zach): Yes! (kind of)

Q: Who’s the prettiest npc?

A (Liz): I'm a big Dryad fan

Q: was the portal gun a problem to implement

A(Zach): I'm proud of our implementation of the portal gun. I told the team: "This was a
triumph. I'm making a note here: Huge Success."
